UinLegal Partners®
Privacy and data protection
How data relating to browsing, enquiries and applications is handled.
Controller and contact
The controller for the processing described in this policy is UinLegal Partners, contactable at Rua Azevedo Coutinho, 39, 4100-100 Porto, Portugal. For privacy enquiries and rights requests, contact dpo@uinlegal.pt.
Browsing, cookies and audience measurement
This website uses Google Analytics 4 to measure, in aggregate, how pages are used and where visits come from, including clicks on contact links and interactions with forms. Measurement is only activated after the visitor accepts it in the consent banner shown; until then, no measurement cookies are set. The choice is stored in the browser for at most six months and can be changed at any time through the “Cookies” control in the footer of every page. Google Analytics is a service of Google Ireland Limited, which may process the data under its own policy; IP addresses are anonymised by the service. No advertising or profiling is used. Images and styles are served by the website itself and map links open external services only when selected. The hosting server may log the IP address, date and time and the requested resource to provide and protect the service.
Enquiries
Details you provide through the form, by email or by telephone are used to assess and respond to your enquiry. The form prepares, on your device, a message that opens in your email app. The website server does not receive or store the content entered in the form. The message is sent only if you complete sending it in that app. Where you request steps towards a potential engagement, processing is necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract; other enquiries are handled on the basis of the legitimate interest in responding to communications addressed to the organisation. Provide only necessary information. Submitting an enquiry does not, by itself, establish a professional relationship.
Spontaneous applications
The application form prepares, on your device, a message that opens in your email app. The website server does not receive or store the content entered in the form. The message is sent only if you complete sending it in that app. If you wish to include a CV, attach it to the message in that app. You can also email your application directly to candidaturas@uinlegal.pt. We process the personal data necessary to assess and respond to your application in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Mandatory fields allow us to identify and contact you; without these details, we cannot process your application through this channel.
Future opportunities and retention
Consideration for future opportunities requires an optional, unticked choice that you may withdraw by email without affecting the lawfulness of previous processing. Refusal does not prevent initial assessment. Unsuccessful applications are retained for no more than six months from receipt and deleted sooner if no longer needed. Legal obligations or the defence of rights may require specific information to be retained for as long as necessary.
Access and service providers
Data should be accessible only to authorised people who need it for the stated purposes. Hosting, email and support providers may process data on behalf of the controller under applicable contractual terms. Processing is not assumed to take place entirely within the European Economic Area; any transfers to third countries require assessment of the applicable framework and safeguards.
Your rights
Subject to applicable conditions and limits, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability by contacting dpo@uinlegal.pt. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. You may complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD, at www.cnpd.pt. Any information requested to verify identity will be limited to what is appropriate.
Automated decisions and sending information
The website code does not rank applications or make automated decisions about candidates. Do not include health data, identity documents, client information or other sensitive information. Your email service may save or synchronise drafts and messages under its own terms.
